Common-Sense Gun Safety Reforms

“Two years.  Four mass shootings. 65 dead in Texas.”
– The Dallas Morning News, September 9, 2019
“One of the most successful sessions we’ve had since I’ve been doing this.”
– Tara Mica, regional lobbyist for the NRA

Texas families have been devastated by gun violence and mass shootings. Yet, Republican Sarah Davis has maintained her commitment to the NRA, even touting their endorsement and her NRA “A” rating.

Davis earned her “A” rating from the NRA by failing to publicly support background checks or extreme protection orders. Despite high-profile school shootings, Davis voted to allow guns on our public campuses. She even voted for legislation to allow anyone to buy and use a silencer.

While Sarah Davis touts her “A” rating from the NRA, parents across Texas are demanding real gun reform. Ann Johnson is proud to stand with Moms Demand Action for sensible laws that will help keep our kids safe:

  • Background checks
  • Extreme risk protection orders
  • Safe storage laws

In the shadow of all the slaughters, the NRA brags our Texas House and Gov. Abbott made this last session “one of the most successful sessions we’ve had since I’ve been doing this.”

Ann is proud to stand with Moms Demand Action to make our communities safer and will be part of a Democratic House majority to finally give gun reform advocates a seat at the table in Austin.
